Fill The Gap Africa organizes 1st annual Entrepreneurs’ Seminar, bringing together 40 Ghanaian entrepreneurs

Fill The Gap Africa, a Women-led non-profit organization (NPO) under the leadership of Dr. Mrs. Vida Akekodaga Adjetey on Saturday November 23, 2024 held its annual free entrepreneurship training and experience-sharing conference under the theme “Breaking The Barriers Of Entrepreneurship Amongst Ghanaian Youth” at the Grand Star Hotel, West Legon.

The conference had two key speakers in attendance, with two of them joining via zoom as they took the participants through the various sessions. The speakers were ambassadors. Oba Boniface Omozuapo (Uk), Her Excellency Dr. Rejoice Wodomdedzi Foli (Ghana), Matthew Owusu Sekyere (Ghana), and South Africa’s Rajesh Sukha.

Today, Ghana’s entrepreneurial activity rate is estimated to be 37% with young Ghanaian entrepreneurs facing an array of hurdles such as lack of realization of potential for entrepreneurship among role models which results in lack of encouragement or even negative social behaviors, education and training programmes they receive generally do not do enough to foster entrepreneurial attitudes and skills.

Alongside the conference and roundtables, attendees entrepreneurs had the opportunity to be enlightened on how they can develop an entrepreneur mindset, having the perception management of entrepreneurship, policies that relate to their business, how to attract and maintain value, how to grow their brand, the liquidity debt management in business; How to improve liquidity in Business; Liquidity Metrics, how they can only sell who they are, how to join crowdfunding platforms as they will disseminate information to the public, and loads of other key modules were dished out by the renowned global conference speakers.

In addition to these, networking activities went on, including speed-meeting sessions and interactions among the entrepreneurs, and were treated with sumptuous meals and goodies to take home as well.

In the months and years to come, Fill The Gap Africa and Entrepreneurs all over Ghana will expand its niche to other countries in Africa and continue to work with entrepreneurs supported by FTGA, and build on the momentum created during its organized conferences. This commitment will focus in particular on training opportunities (face-to-face or distance learning) and support for advocacy actions, in order to promote the Ghanaian and African entrepreneurial cause.
