A Transformational Testimony: From Saa community of Kasena Nankana West District to Achimota School – Rosella’s Remarkable Rise
It’s a story that’s warming hearts and turning heads across the country.
For the first time ever, a child from Saa community of Kasena Nankana West District, Upper East Region, Ghana has made it into the prestigious Achimota School and her name is Rosella Akiwelei.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of Fill the Gap Africa, Rosella’s dream of quality education is no longer just a wish, it’s her new reality.
Raised in a village where access to education is limited and opportunity scarce, Rosella’s future once seemed uncertain. But through the Quality Education for Remote Children Project, her potential was spotted, nurtured, and celebrated. Now, she’s breaking barriers and making history.
In a proud and emotional moment, Dr. Vida Akekodaga, CEO of Fill the Gap Africa, personally escorted Rosella to Achimota School to officially report as a first-year student. It was more than just a school drop-off, it was a powerful symbol of what happens when compassion meets commitment.
“This act reflects not only leadership and dedication,” Dr. Akekodaga said.
“It’s also the heart of our mission to bridge the gap and unlock the potential of every underserved child.”
Rosella’s story stands as a beacon of hope for children in underserved communities. She represents what’s possible when visionary leadership, community support, and targeted intervention come together to create real change.
At Fill the Gap Africa, this is just the beginning. Rosella’s success fuels the drive to reach more children, rewrite more stories, and build a future where no child is left behind.
